We had a TV die today, a TV that has been with me for the last 18 years of my life.
Ironically, I bought this tv when I was in Germany the first time, back in 1990. Mr. TV has been across the ocean and back a few times since then and has done so without the safety of his original box.
He was a large TV, and quite the top model in his days. You see, when I bought him, he was one of those new “multi-system” tv’s that worked on both the European and US systems and he wasn’t cheap. As a matter of fact, that puppy was somewhere in the neighborhood of $900 and Susie Airman bought him on DPP (the early decendant of the Military Star program through AAFES).
Last night, we noticed he was looking a little ill, as Devin’s Halo3 game looked very, well…blue. And, he smelled hot. (the tv…Devin always smells so that wouldn’t have been anything out of the ordinary lol) Then, this evening, when I cohersed Devin out of the “room of stink” for dinner…Mr TV did nothing but make a weird noise and have a black screen when he tried to turn it back on.
So, I wonder when the junk man will be through next ringing his little bell so I can set Mr TV out on the curb to send him to his final resting place…..
On another note….remember that damn maid who used to clean my house? She’s gone and run off with my husband again. LOL
Maybe your maid is on you tube.
omg-our tv just dumped too-went and bought a new one -too big for current ent center so had to get a new one of those too!
I’m anonymous
So has Mr. TV been replaced by some big new stud?
