SLS, the 4th and weekend shopping

This is Devin’s last week of SLS. I have to tell you, it’s been very weird not having him around the house.  It just doesn’t feel “right” not having all my children at home. (I know, it’s going to be hell on me when it’s time for him to move out)  I got the chance to see him on Saturday when we went out to check the mail and return some movies.  He was out marching back from someplace and they had stopped next to the skate park to get into formation…they’d been marching in a straight line back from someplace, they looked pretty sweaty…..  Well, the kid sees us..and freaking waves when a command was being called lol  (guess he misses us? hehe)

We celebrated the 4th by having some friends over for a small bbq.  It’s hard to believe it’s taken me that long to invite people over.  (You know how much I love to entertain!)  We had a day of just relaxing, chatting, eating and laughing at our 6 children play the Wii DDR, and my friend Carla and I were even good sports and danced one time each as the kids sat back and laughed at us.  I think the kids played with that thing for 3 hours straight…and we only have one mat!  LOL  While one kid would be on it, the others would just do the moves on the floor along with the person on the mat.  We skipped fireworks as we really didn’t feel like driving down to Ramstein to watch them, and really, the kids could care less lol.

Saturday, we took a trip to the bx in Mannheim and found some pretty good deals.  Meg and I got some sneakers at an awesome price!  These were $80 shoes we got for…. $15.  What a deal huh?

Yes, that is a rooster you see with my shoe.  The girls are hooked on Webkinz and have been telling me that I “need” to get one.  I told them I wasn’t sure if I wanted a penguin, chicken or a pig and was trying to make up my mind. Well the bx happened to have them and they had this rooster.  So, yep, it’s mine now.  Morgan “helped” me through the registration progress and now they are fighting over who will help  me play with it online lol. 

I’ve named him Gordon Blue hehe ( Webkinz might not have liked the name Cordon Bleu so we did a play on his name. ) I managed to find him barnyard wallpaper and he came with an egg chair for his room lol  Morgan showed me where to go to buy him food and I noticed they had chicken nuggets so that’s what his first meal was lol ( Kevin says I’m morbid lol)

Not much else happening lately in our normal boring lives lol
