Go figure huh? At least it’s not snowing I guess, but if the temp drops a few more degrees before it stops, I wouldn’t be surprised if it did lol
Followed behind a garbage truck for 7 miles today, that was fun. Me, rain, garbage truck, no opportunity to pass. You know that was a fun little bit of happy right? Um, no.
Had to take back a movie today…and the reason “why” is affirmation that I don’t totally suck as a parent.
With the boss gone to the states, I took the kids bowling yesterday before renting some movies. We then went grocery shopping, came home and ate dinner etc.. and watched a movie while eating cookie dough that I made (chocolate chip) specifically for eating with no intention of baking 
**no eggs** lol
Since I had to break up several wars of “she won’t let me” I told Meg she could watch her own movie in her room with the little DVD player and stay up later than the offending siblings. Seemed like a cool idea to her too lol
So, anyway, everyone is put to bed, I get myself a drink and head down here to “mom central” to see if anyone sent me any love lately, and a few minutes later, Meg appears with movie in hand. Apparently, the guy at the video rental put the wrong movie in the box for us… she said to me “Mommy, I can’t watch this, it’s rated R”….”OMG how did I over look what she was getting and let her rent that?” I thought? Well, that’s when we learned we had the wrong movie in the box. It was supposed to be some Hannah Montana thing and instead it was “I *heart* Huckabees”
Good girl. She knew that rated R movies are something she can’t watch Made me proud.
So, we took it back, got the right movie, plus a free rental to make up for our troubles. (I told him that was totally unnecessary, but he insisted, and I don’t like to turn down free lol)
Other than that, not much else going on…I’ve discovered (through the boy) Monster Energy drinks (the lo-carb one at 20 calories a can) and decided that when one doesn’t have enough Mexican blend cheese for Chicken Enchilada casserole, that no one cares if you add Mozerella instead….
