I bought a crock-pot, but that isn’t really what I came on to say today. I watched a movie last night that nearly scared the shit out of me, but that isn’t what I want to say either.
What I want to write about, is something I heard Dr Phil say one day, something that recently has become more evident.
He said “Life is short, and time is a thief”. It struck me as the truth when he said it, and recent events make it reverberate in my head each time I get the news.
Just this month:
The daughter of a lady I respect and admire died suddenly of an aneurysm.
A man my husband went to school with chose to end his own life. He was the father of 5.
My dear friend, who fought courageously through a brain tumor for her life, the husband she loves and the children she adores, just lost her brother, her twin.
My best friend just found out that her mother in law is very, very ill and won’t be with them much longer.
It’s not their sad news I wanted to convey, rather, the truth of it all I want to express instead in their examples.
As the doc said “Life is short and time is a thief” Take the time to smile, hug the ones you love and let them know you care. Be kind and love one another, and make peace where there is unrest in your lives.
So true Susan! There is never enough time to love on those we care about!
Well Said!
