If you know me, you know I can be rather….nerdy. I love the news and things like “google earth”.
One day, while in ND, I shared Google Earth with the hubby (who will from now on be referred to as “Air Force Man” lol) Big stinkin mistake!
While in ND, he mapped out every old missle site, launch facility and what have you in the midwest. (trust me, that was scary to see how many there actually were at one time) I overhauled his computer when we moved here, and GE was gone..
Well, it didn’t take long for Air Force Man to have the desire to rule the world from his swivel chair. GE is back on his computer.
Now, you have got to understand, this is the same man who on many occasions has said to me “I have no idea how you can spend so much time online, what the heck do you find to look at?”
I’ve lost my husband, oops…Air Force Man to Google Earth again. Now, he is mapping all of the old military sites in Germany. Holy crap, there are tons! As a matter of fact, he found something in our little country town. Up at the edge of town there is a bench and stone table. From there you can see a lot of the town. People use the intersection there to turn around…
Well, if you keep going out what looks like the road less travelled, you come to a sign written in German and English on the edge of an Orchard. Keep going and you find an old munition storage area. Imagine that!
Funny how I was using GE to find all the little castle ruins in the area and him…military locations……
Did you ever read those books Heather and I did? If you did, maybe you should check that bench and stone table out in town and see if there is a hole to fall through to another dimension! Maybe you’ll have something to write a book about!
