I made dinner today that turned out horrible! Yuk!! Most of it was stuff I made before and was really good, but today….it sucked….BAD.
Busy Day Baked Fish: I’ve made it before using Tilapia and it was great! It was one of those dishes where the kids and DH smiled and said “make this again!” Well, not today. It was baaaad. I made it with cod (cause that’s what I had in the freezer). It was BAAAAAAAD. I cannot stress to you how incredibly in-edible it actually was.
Wild Rice Pilaf (Schwans): Easy enough, just nuke it and serve and it’s done right? Not today! I literally had to drain water off it so we could eat it. It sucked too.
Veggies: a broccoli/caulif/carrot/zuccini & summer squash mix. Just fine.
Dessert: “Grandma Max’s Layered Jello Salad” (Recipezaar # 208291)
Before I tell you about it, just look at DH’s facial expression:
That should tell you something.
I should have known better to try a dessert that had ZERO reviews, right?
Well, I knew I had a bazillion boxes of Jello that *maybe* we should try and use so I went looking for this recipe. It called for two different kinds, so I let the kids pic…they picked grape and lime. It’s a layered dessert so I thought “ok, shouldn’t be too bad” right???? WRONG!!! I think the person who posted this was a definate culinary prankster. Here’s the link Dessert Gone Bad
Did you go read it? “I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does”
I think they must be goats. Are they goats? Cause goats eat anything and this stuff was BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD LOL
You gotta see it, take a lookie:
In all fairness, it was probably the flavor combo that my lovely children picked out and not the recipe it’s self (ya think!?) so maybe if made the right way it would be ok. But lets just say, this turned out BAAAAAAAAAAAD.

Fruit salad…Yummy, Yummy
